I have Sprint dsl and have to reboot the modem quite often. Have never used hibernation or standby. Luckily, there is a button on the back of the modem and I have easy access to it. Have occasionally had to reboot, but not often. Sprint says this is common and I have spoken to fellow Sprint dsl users and they have the same problem. I have just unchecked the "Allow.....etc., in Power Management for my ethernet card as instructed by Ropera and Maggie :-) . Maybe that will make a difference. Good luck Laurie.
