It's funny sometimes how the same thing can be perceived so differently. If my modem were suddenly silenced, I'd be posting to find out how to get the sound back. I just wouldn't want to be without all the reassuring "music" it makes as it connects. And if you listen long enough, I understand it can be used as a diagnostic tool to troubleshoot connection problems. LOL
