Actually, there is a way to play tunes with your modem if you enter numbers that are associated with the different tones, can be quite complex harmonics, some major and minor chords too. Did you ever hear F7?
There's a loop command that will play it over and over and never send to dial. I do this all the time, hours of dial tones tooting away....cats don't like it though.....
