Putting together a backup computer. I used a Biostar M7VKS motherboard (cheapest in the store) with an AMD Athlon 1 gig CPU. I put my old hard drive in (Quantum Fireball 12 gig), and had some minor problems surfing, so I tried the hard drive from my main computer, a Maxtor 40-gig 7200.
The old hard drive had IE4 from a recent reformat, and the new has IE6. Now, it freezes for about 30 seconds when I try to follow links on pages, or to put attachments in my posts. IE repair did not help, nor did SFC. Reinstalled IE6 as well.
If there is other relevant information I should put here, I'm not yet sure what it is.
I'm open for suggestions!
