Hello
Just recently purchased Office Home and Student 2016. If the following information is wrong does anyone know how I can view updates to make sure security updates were successful?

This is information I have found:
Office 2016 updates directly from Microsoft server and no update history is recorded in Microsoft Update of Control Panel. Additionally, to update Office 2016 application manually, open any Office 2016 application, choose File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
Under update there is an option to view updates no updates shown
 eileen

I would guess that since It was recently purchased there have not been any further updates released yet.

In the good old days, we bought stuff like this on a CD/DVD which was invariably somewhat out of date and needed to be updated ASAP. I'm assuming your purchase involved downloading the installer, in which case what you installed was up to the minute. Therefore - what Shelly said.

Thank you both for responding,
I want to agree with your responses. I do know when I click on view updates it shows what the desktop of the program can offer? I will give it some time and let you know how it goes.
Thanks Again,
eileen

I believe Windows is set by default to update Microsoft products. If there are any updates they should come across that way if you are running Windows 10.

When I click on view updates a window opens with a list of things nothing to do with security updates.Seeing I just started using this version of office I think Shelly's response maybe right. I will just wait and see give it some time.
