I used a different monitor on this computer and it works perfectly. To answer your other question, the faulty monitor lights up green on the indicator, no logo appears, and after a minute or so the indicator turns amber, which usually signifies no connected computer. The cables used are the same ones that are working perfectly on the replacement monitor.
