Here is what I found and thank you for the WD clone app.
Neither Clonezilla or the WD app worked. I suspect this ASUS PC is to old to recognize the USB port to boot even after changing the BIOS
I also tried booting Linux from the USB port and that did not work.

Luckily I purchased the HDD from Amazon and after returning the drive to a single partition/volume I packaged it up and it will go back for a full refund.

This lead me to my next posting, "What to buy"
