I just noticed that all my Win10 non-Microsoft Store extensions (i.e., Chrome Web store extensions) have been disabled - at least they weren't surreptitiously removed.

Microsoftintheheadians in their infinite wisdom apparently have determined - without announcing to the USER - that they know better than the USER what is an "appropriate" extension.

Re-enabling the non-MS extensions requires each one to be individually allowed - rather than simply allowing blanket approval of all extensions regardless of source.
