New computer build is W10 home 64 bit. Was able to use W7 installation disk key from old, discarded computer for activation. Key was accepted, but I continue to get prompts to activate, even though there is no activation watermark on lower right of screen. Could this be because the W7 was pro and may have been 32 bit, and new W10 comp is home, and 64 bit?

Yes. If the W7 key is for Pro, you will have to install W10 Pro for it to activate. 32 or 64 bit doesn't matter.

Thought so. Weird, because it accepted my key.
