Any disadvantage to using a PS/2 keyboard over a USB one? I just connected my old PS/2, and kind of like starting up with an "any key" press.

None that I know of. Some recent business class computers have still included PS/2 ports. An advantage of using a PS/2 port, if you have it, is that it frees up a USB port.

Only downside is you generally lose the hot-swap capability you may have enjoyed with the USB keyboard.

Yes, I had to reboot for it to work. Also, I had to enable it in the BIOS. Now, I can save 500 milliseconds on boot up, by pressing "any key."
