Denise, you are not the most paranoid! That would be me.
1) won't fly. haven't sinse 1986! feel that if I take a fear of flying course and DO fly, my new confidence will be rewarded w/a crash.
2) love people and new places. this makes the flying thing a real bummer.
3) have anxiety attacks and depression problems. have taken (on and off) Prozac and Xanax for years. the Proxac has been a life saver and I rarely need the Xanax if I take the Prozac. anxiety manifests mainly in cars. feel a sort of vertigo or loss of balance when driving a long distance, though in the city it never happens.
4) scared of heights. worst story: I'm on a date in L.A., the guy takes me to a tall bldg, downtown and wants to go to the revolving restaurant on the 30th floor! I tell myself I can do it. we get on the elevator and after about two or three floors we are suddenly in a glass elevator travelling up the OUTSIDE of the bldg!!! I nearly croaked.
5) love animals very much. feel that all life is sacred. have done a lot of animal rescue. have been a vegetarian for about 28 years. don't kill bugs, except for fleas and mosquitos - hey, nobody's perfect!
6) hate the cold but love the Great Lakes so much that I'll always have to be near them, at least in the summer.
7) had a very close encounter w/a UFO, in the mid seventies. no I was not stoned! it was huge and triangular w/flashing lights around the perimeter. it hovered w/o a sound and was close enough that I, and the people w/me, could see windows on it.
8) scared of big cats - the wild variety, like lions and tigers, etc. have dreams where I'm outside, everything is ordinary until a big cat comes walking along, like a dog. glad I don't live in California anymore, for that reason.
9) secret thing I've always wanted to do but don't know anyone that I'm mad at (which I would have to be do do this): so you know a real jerk and would like to cause them some grief: Put an ad in the paper for a couple of days for a REALLY fantastic estate sale. list all the stuff that gets the hard-core collectors out. a good, long attention getting ad. state "Doors open promptly 7 A.M. - hehehe! can't you just see it?! your victim opens the door to get the morning paper or go to work and finds a line of 200 people, WITH COFFEE, waiting to enter their house! I laugh every time I think about it.
Well, as they say, enough about me.

P.S. Sophie - that dream thing is BIZZARE! worthy of an email to Art Bell, at the very least!
