When I was in grade school the teacher would ask us to bring in any samples of grammatical error we could find in the local newspaper articles. I remember reading page after page before I could find something worthy. That was when editors were trained and used their eyes and their brains to discern correct content. Now, with spell-checkers and grammar checkers doing the work, and editors merely as figure-heads, you don't need to read past the first paragraph to find as many errors as you want. Sad, but true.
