217937, So What? Who really needs to breath?

President Donald Trump is expected to pull the United States from a landmark global climate agreement, a White House official said Wednesday, though there could be "caveats in the language" announcing a withdrawal, leaving open the possibility that his decision isn't final.

Exiting the deal would be certain to anger allies that spent years negotiating the accord to reduce carbon emissions.

The official insisted on anonymity in order to discuss the decision before the official announcement.

Trump tweeted on Wednesday morning: "I will be announcing my decision on the Paris Accord over the next few days. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

Nearly 200 nations, including the United States under President Barack Obama's administration, agreed in 2015 to voluntarily reduce their greenhouse gas emissions in an effort to combat climate change. Withdrawing would leave the United States aligned only with Russia among the world's industrialized economies in rejecting action to combat climate change.

It is hard to believe that the DNC picked the only candidate in the whole country that could lose to this guy. America is really screwed if these are the best that we can find to run for President. The best that we can hope for now is that those who are close to him keep him distracted enough to not mess things up too badly. Right now he seems to be occupied with his Russia problem. Perhaps that can be stretched out long enough to forestall any more stupid things in the immediate future.

Sadly, Trump has an attention span of about 30 seconds, and is unable to deal with any degree of complexity.

Sorry, Shelly, but I have to disagree with you. Trump has an attention span of 5 seconds and is unable to deal with ANYTHING!!

I tend to agree with you. He is an embarrassment.

When he has a problem (like the Russia thing) his usual tactic is to distract the nation by manufacturing a new problem to distract everyone from the previous one.

A pretty solid suggestion that the transgender military announcement and Scaramucci's appalling diatribe were both deliberately designed to draw attention away from Bill Browder's Senate Judiciary Committee testimony. And it worked.

Edit: And now he has sacked Scaramucci. Looks like Kelly is going to run the White House like a military barracks.

Pretty much the only thing they agree on now.

A really interesting summary of current US/Russian relations:-

The ridiculous veneer of an alliance with Russia on world policy was never anything more than a Trump delusion. One of many.
