According to an Associated Press report, surveillance camera footage showed that the woman, Erma Osborne, placed her daughter in one washer, then removed her and placed her in a second front-loading washer, which turned on when she closed the door.
Sheesh.... Using a washing machine as a playpen??? How idiotic can you get?

I'm not surprised after watching Jay Leno's Jaywalking episodes. Those men and women become parents. Frightening. :-)

How incredibly negligent of that laundromat to have washers that start unexpectedly like that! I smell a law suit! In fact, it would be in the best interest of society for this mother to pursue legal action. After all, if our children can't be safe inside of a washing machine, where CAN they be safe? }(
