I will check into it and see, because I was wondering the same thing. There is a better map to use but it only allows 100 marks.

I wanted it so that you wouldn't have spam email and didn't even need a name. I like it simple so no problems.

I know what you mean, I tried putting my mark in SW Pennsylvania and ended up in Maryland.

Heh, I screwed up on the gender... I guess it'll represent Mrs. GiddyRig! Can't find an undo for it. It'll haunt me now!

It's always a possibility, if they have the same last name as me, they are more than likely related in some way. My last name isn't a very common one.

I actually found a relative in England a few years back, but I've lost touch with him now. I've been told that there are some folks with the same last name in Australia too, but I've had no luck in locating them.

Tried to put myself in the area near Liljoe as we are both in STL metro, but it put me up near Peoria.... about mid way to Chicago.

Cool. It put me up by Quad Cities. I'll trade with you and maybe you'll find someone from Quad Cities you gets put near St. Louis to trade with :)

Well I am near Lil' Joe too and after seeing all the people in the Missouri area, I wasn't sure I would fit in or where I may end up...

Neat idea. It looks like you have to pretend that the point of the arrow is about right where this red mark is.

Have you noticed that most of the red dots (females) are anonymous, whereas most of the blues have some kind of name listed?

I found that my French London dot had disappeared so tried again using TeLo's idea and have now ended up even further into France. Londoners are not going to like this at all, being shifted about is bad enough but into France of all places! :7 BTW I thought that I saw a dot on the west coast of Australia earlier and it's not there now, was I imagining it?

OK I am working on finding a better MAP. This one has to many bugs, as we have found out.:+ So I will find a better map and post it and then maybe we can have some luck. Now if any of the programers out there want to design a map that would be nice to.:evilgrin:

Hey jason there is a site that has a nice map on it but the free part of it only lets you have 100 marks on the map. The purchase part of it lets you have 1000. It cost $99.95. Maybe everyone donate a dollar or 2 and you could get it for this site. I am gonna post a free map of the one I am talking about on here for you to see.

The new map is much better (so far) at least I'm in the right country now! I think it a very good idea, helps to show how international PC Q&A is but at the same time draws us together. On a personal note now I can see where some of the American members live, previously the place names meant little to me. BTW Ethan, now that we've got London settled down it looks as though Eilat has "gone walkies". :-)

The site of the "new map" is in my IE's Restricted Sites Zone. I'm not sure why at the moment, but being in this zone it doesn't display.

I placed it (temporarily) in the Trusted Sites Zone but the map still won't display although the controls to adjust the map do. :(
