Has anyone ever heard of a way to add data transfer rate to windows explorer? I'm always curious about the transfer rates I get on my LAN and can only ever see them accurately using WS_FTP. That does not help me on a Windows to Windows connection where I move files using Network Neighborhood.
Windows 2000 has this icon I can turn on to see the packets moving and I see "connected at 10 Mbps" but that doesn't tell me much.

AnalogX's NetStat Live should show you the active transfer rate over your LAN. It's stand-alone not a plugin, I don't know of any like that. Grab it from the from the Downloads section on this site. There are other similar utilites on the Internet as well.
