"self boot"

i installed this software sometime ago, and after it installed, it asked me to disable the self boot from cdrom. not knowing what harm that will bring me, i clicked yes. question...how do i get it to self boot again. for example, pop in the win2000 cd and it automatically starts the installation process.
thanks

Enabling and disabling bootable CDs (ie the El Torito standard) is done through the BIOS. Go to your BIOS and change the boot order so that the CD-ROM is set before your hard drive(s).

edit: Are you talking about Auto-Insert Notification? Because that's different.

settings>control panel>system>device manager>cd-rom>double-click drive>settings tab>auto-insert notification(make sure it is checked).

Hope that does the trick for you.

Stranger than life
