"OT - Wedding and Marriage and Stuff"

Well, i am now an officially married man...everything went without a hitch (except for me getting hitched), the wedding was just what we wanted, short and sweet, the reception was great, and afterwards was none of you damn business

Among some of the most excellent gifts we recieved was a very special one. My groomsman Nate (my old roomate), handed over the keys to his 1967 4 door Impala, still in excellent condition with the original paint and engine, fully loaded with Ice Cube-style white walls and an engine that rivals even the largest of subwoofers. I'm still kind of in shock, its hard to believe that I just got married. I'm not used to wearing jewelry (to be honest, i hate it), but this ring thing i could get used to. Will post pics (not the ones i took at home ) in a few days, just waiting for them to come back.

Actually, Amber and I coulnd't afford to go anywhere for a honeymoon, so we are just going to wait until financial aid rolls in during the middle of January, and we might go someplace like Vegas or something...plus, i have finals all next week, so its not like i can just take off

Great looking car Doc, enjoy the ride

Thanks for posting the pictures so fast.
Looks just like it was drove off the show room floor.

BTW 1967 was a very good year.

Your car even survived the riots of 1968.
I just hope that it can survive your lead foot

Good job, Doc! I would even consider tying the knot myself for a '67 Impala. Congrats on all counts.

LOL, i will Shelly...just gotta find a decent mechanic to work on it...hard to find one in Pullman, theres a place down the road called Jerrys, there motto is "if it ain't broke, we'll break it, then we'll say we fixed it and charge you lots of money for parts we never used"

Go to Montery or Carmel. You can fly into LA and drive up the pacific coast or you can fly into San Francisco(the world's greatest city and drive down to Monerty and Carmel from there. The weather will be beautiful then and you will be showing some real class. Anyway, Congratulations to the both of you and may the sun always shine on your faces.

Nah, you don't have to do that to stay married. You just need to make sure she has her own computer.

Congrats Doc M.

congrats Dr. Midnight. I know what you mean about the ring. Sometime it constricts and most of the time you never know that it is there.

2ndly. Dude, he gave you his car!!!!!!! Wow. Now that is friendship. As I get older in life I realize that I only have a few true friends in life. Like myself, they will do do anything to help out a friend.

Like Shelly said. That is a car that someone has taken car of for a long time. Do the same for you wife and child. Sorry, i am being sappy. Just had a great night with the wife and kids.

Im in south Florida, Broward County. Inbetween Fortlauderdale and Miami. I know what you mean I'll have a coat on sometimes and I'll see tourists walking buy in shorts and tank tops. haha
Lots of people from Canada come here to vacation and they will be out on the beach gettting sun when its crazy cold. I guess 60 degress to me is freezing but to sombody comeing from a Canadian winter its like spring time. haha Mike if you and Amber ever want to vacation in south Florida you can come stay at my place. Im right near all the beaches.

Great ! Enjoy marriage and life.

One bit of advice - DON'T take Amber for granted, tell her you love her (any shape or form is fine) and be there for her when she needs you...she will always be there for you.
