#3. "RE: New AVG Anti-Virus Update 10/07/03" In response to triplea (Reply # 0) Thu Jul-10-03 02:40 PM by Darren
Got it... Thanks.
I am currently using the AVG 7.0 trial (nice!) on my server.
A couple features I like...
If a scheduled scan is missed, it will start when the computer boots up.
Automatic updates can be scheduled, and if an Internet connection is unavailable, it will check for an update when you go on line...even if the scheduled time has elapsed.
New update files are very small...around 101-150 KB.
Directories are created in.. User/Application Data/Grisoft User/Application Data/AVG7 Default User/Application Data/AVG7 in addition to the normal Program files/Grisoft directory
A couple of new services are added
Now if I can figure out the command line parameters for the shell extension scan to use with my Pocomail...
On the bad side...there is no support as of yet, and the included help file is bare bones. An updated help file is available, but it isn't much better.

Automatic updates can be scheduled for the current AVG. I think you have to set the time frame for when you will be online, however, if you miss that day, it will come back at you the next day.
Any idea when the new AVG 7.0 will arrive officially? (not Beta.)
