"homepage address"

recently, for some reason, my homepage address keep changing to this website. i went to internet options and change my homepage back, but after i turn off the computer, turn back on, use the internet, and that same stupid website address automatically set as my homepage address. it only happen when i turn off then back on the computer. i think somehow it must have load something in the autoexect.bat, so everytime i turn on the computer, it change my homepage address. i even tried to delete all the temporary internet files and all the cookies, still, it happened. i'm using win2000 with internet explore 5.0. back when i use win98, i can see what all is load by "run: msconfig". but with win2000, it doesn't let me. thanks for any help.

Could it be spyware?

That behavior can be atrributed to Syware. Also certain sites will do this. To be sure you don't have Syware, download and install Ad-aware from here. When you run the program and any is found, choose the option to delete but make sure you also take the option to backup.

If you didn't download the RefUpdate program from the above link, do so and rerun Ad-aware. This catches newer versions of Ezula. Also review this to see if anything sticks out.

Yeah, your homepage was hijacked by a scumbag site. Montana posted the site with the cure.
