"broken link"

sometimes i get emails (hotmail) that would display a link through a pictures or words. when i clicked on it, sometimes it wouldn't display the website. when i actually cut and paste the actual url in the address box, then it would show the website. why is this? for the word links with the actual url, i'm fine,(copy and paste) but what about the one with the picture links or word links without the actual address? how would get the actual url of it? i tried to go to it's property and find the site, but it display a whole bunch of garbage for the website address, still didn't work. i was wondering if anybody knows a way to get the actual url for those picture/word links.
thanks

Well I use hotmail too for my junk mail. I know what you're talking about. For some reason, if you have the email open for a while...oh say a minute, the link for some reason becomes sort of stale and don't seem to work. Hotmail for some reason likes to add extra stuff to the actual link itself like %e for a dot in .com. Anyway, the only way I know how to make the links work is by refreshing the email page. If you hit refresh at the top, it takes you back to the main email page. If you right click on the email page that you're on and left on refresh, then it will only refresh that page (don't ask me why it works like that on Hotmail but it does). Anyhow, after you refresh that email page, click on the links before the links(picture or word links) go *stale* again and it will work. Hotmail is free, so I can't complain .
