do i need somekind of patch inorder to burn in WinXP and viewed in older os dos mode? i burned something in XP, but was unable to view it in dos mode in Win2000. i don't have a problem viewing in windows platform, but i couldn't read it dos mode. if there's a patch, where can i find such patch. thanks
You need to use a normal CD-R burn session, not CDRW packet writing.
The DOS drivers will read a normal ISO9660 filesystem, even if there are long filenames and Joliet extensions, but the filenames will be truncated with numbers.
However it won't read a UDF filesystem unless specialized drivers are loaded. That is what I'm guessing is going on here.
i burned it in my friends new desktop which came with winxp and cd recorder. i just draged the data into the appropriate folder for burning and burned. is this not the correct way? thanks
