"software to monitor comp temp" Fri May-06-05 05:41 PM by 1l
are there any software that monitors your computer's temperature? also, what would be the normal temperture of the computer when idle. normally, is it safe to use the compress air to blow out the dust in the heatsink of the laptop? thanks.

Not a good idea to use compressed air. It just blows it into inaccessible places, and that dust can contain conductive particles that can do damage. use a vacuum cleaner and a soft natural bristle brush. Hold the vacuum nozzle near the brush but do not touch anything with it.

You can use the free Mother Board Monitor (MBM) if your motherboard has sensors, but if it does you should also have a temp program on the CD that came with the motherboard.
