Seems the personal edition only makes full backups(no incrementals,networks or schedules).
But what the heck,it's free.

And there is also (for people who don't know) Macrium Reflect FREE Edition

So now you can have 2 very good FREE programs to make full system images with.

I just downloaded it after reading the thread on DSLReports. I only do full backups, so that's fine with me. I have also never scheduled a backup.

I have used Acronis True Image in the past, and am still using an older version on one of my computer systems.

I have been using ATI version 7 for a while now with no problems but I couldn't resist trying this free version 10. Every time I try to install it I get the following message:
The installation was interrupted before Acronis True Image could be installed. You need to restart the installer to try again.
I have uninstalled 7 first, rebooted, but I still get the message. There are various 'solutions' on various forums but no definitive one. I'm using Windows XP/SP3.
I would be very interested if you get the same thing and if anyone has a foolproof solution.
BTW I installed it successfully on a Vista system with no previous version installed.

Did you read all the four pages of posts in the second link given above, your problem may have been mentioned?

I have registered a couple of times for True Image 10 and have been sent the email with serial number. Each email does not have a link to download the program, only to upgrade to the new version.

Does anyone know whether the offer has expired or where I can find the download link for True Image 10 please?

Macrium Reflect Free is also great for making full manual images if you want to have 2 layers of restore protection incase TI fails for some reason.

I found these (applies to TI v9 and v10) very useful when I had to do a full restore with my TI v10 Home edition. Obviously worth printing out the Restore part before you need it. I imagine that most of it will also apply to the Personal edition, I only ever make full backups. http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=168165
