QUOTE: Version 5.00.5050 New GUI
I've not gotten it yet, so I don't know if it's for the better or not, but I hate when GUI's are changed simply for the sake of making a change.
edit: I just got it. The GUI change is very minor. The layout is still the same. They just tweaked the look of the buttons and menus a little. Making it look more in line with the Windows 8 style.
What on earth was wrong with the previous GUI? I hate the new one. The stupid Windows 8 style format, ugggggh!! Even the tick boxes and descriptions aren't as clear as before. Ridiculous.
I didn't think it was that big of a change. But I do agree that there was nothing wrong before. And...this is one of those stupid cases of change for the sake of change.

I downloaded and tried to install. It hangs at about 10% and will not go any farther. Tried to uninstall, will not uninstall. Is there a repair program, CC4.19 will not install now after the CC5.00 attempt.
Getting your knickers in a bit of a twist, aren't you?
According to the changelog there are pretty substantial operational changes under the bonnet, and I for one rather like the new GUI, which is basically just a font change, and looks fresher than the tired old XP appearance.
Updated and found it to be working OK. I haven't noticed any operational difference with the previous version, but time will tell. Like you, I rather like the new look.

Me? Not at all. My comment was only in reference to the GUI change. Which as I stated didn't seem like that big of a deal to me. I meant that the GUI change seemed like a change just for the sake of change. And again, it is very minor, doesn't bother me a bit. I wasn't referring to the underpinnings of the program at all.
Just updating the UI to keep it in line with current Microsoft standards. Nothing different than Google is currently doing with their Android apps to bring them up to Android 5.0 standards with their revised UI. It's called progress.
