"Favorites list setting for Microsoft Edge?"

Hiya kiddies,

I'm getting my first look at Win10 today. One of the oddities I'd like to change is how the Microsoft Edge browser displays favorites in the list; it shows the web page's URL in addition to the title.

Displaying the URL takes up too much room and is (IMHO) not needed. I prefer how IE (and every other browser) displays favorites, by title only.

Anyone know how I can change this behavior?

Is there some advantage to using Edge rather than IE11 which is still included in Win10 and which doesn't routinely include URL's?

Jim.

It's probably the fact that they don't make IE11 very obvious in Win10. I'd say most people will have no idea that it's even there.

edit: I guess I should have mentioned for those that don't know, that IE11 is hidden away in the "Windows Accessories" folder. Also from within Edge you can click on the three little dots at the top right and choose "open with Internet Explorer" and your current web page will then open in an IE11 session.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm using IE11 too (as well as Chrome). It was easy to find and all, but I was curious about Edge since Win10 is new to me.

I think Edge is designed for phones or tablet computers, so all the more reason why the screen real estate is too valuable to clutter with the URL.

Anyway, thanks again. If I find a way to change this setting I'll post it back here.
