"Recommendations for new computer"

My computer is several years old and although I don't have any problems with it now, I'm itching for a new one. I haven't built any for several years and have not kept up with the latest/greatest processors and motherboards. So I need some recommendations for what I should buy. I like AMD processors and Gigabyte motherboards. I'm not a gamer and prefer video to be on the MB. My hobby is photography so the most stressful program I often use is Photoshop. I will be using my current HDD's from my current computer. So, what do you folks recommend giving me the most bang for my bucks with the above mentioned parameters?

My Computer:
Homebuilt
W10 Pro
Antec Earthwatts 500W PS
Gigabyte 880GM-USB3
AMD FX4100 3.6 GH
8G Ram
Samsung EVO 840 256G SSD(Sys drive)
640 Gig WD Blk (Data & Backup Drive)

I think you get a lot more bang for the buck with AMD. I'm running a FX-8350 with 32GB of ram. I have had very good luck with Asus Motherboards. This rig runs like a freight train and has taken everything I have thrown at it with ease. I'm starting to look at the newer processors but that would cost a lot more, still under Intel. Whatever you choose, I would recommend maxing out the ram. What a difference, and it doesn't have to be the fastest available!

I agree with you on using AMD. That's all I've ever used in all of the computers I've built for friends and family. I know that Asus MB's are highly recommended but I've had problems with them in the past and it put a sour taste in mouth ever since. Gigabyte, on the other hand, have been rock solid.
