"Computer security a little overzealous"

I'm finding that I need to reenter login and password for several sites. I believe it has to do with Windows Defender, SuperAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes or some other App. Any thoughts?

It's usually because the cookies have been deleted.
Have you used CCleaner recently without specifying which cookies to retain?

That may be the problem, as CCleaner is a new update. Will check. Thanks.

Just checked, and Cookies are unchecked in both Firefox and Chrome. Must be something else.

OK, but are cookies unchecked for your respective browsers in CCleaner, or placed in the "Cookies to keep" category within CCleaner?

Jim.

Thanks for that info. I hadn't looked at that part of CCleaner. I found a couple that were related to my having to reenter my passwords and will see what happens.

What exactly do you mean by "cookies are unchecked" in Firefox?

The settings I use are:-
Accept cookies from websites (checked)
Accept third-party cookies (never)

Paul, that's the Firefox section of CCleaner.

Behind every good computer... is a jumble of wires 'n stuff.
