"Windows 10 Pro"

I have a free Windows 10 Pro from Microsoft installed on my computer.
Windows 10 Pro works fine.

The problem I have with the free install of Windows 10 Pro are the ads that keep popping up while a browsing the internet.

My questions are:

1) Is there any way to stop these (ad choice) ads?

2) If I purchased Windows 10 Pro. Would I still get the ads?

Thank You
TV Man 436 163

I have Pro and I don't see ads but I use a local account and don't sign in with a M$ account as I have no use for the store. I got mine as a free upgrade from 8.1.Where do you see ads like the browser window or somewhere else?

The broweser I'm using is aol.com.
I used to use verizon.net but Verizon switched me over to aol.com.

It sounds like your computer is loaded up with adware/malware. Have you scanned with Malwarebytes?

Behind every good computer... is a jumble of wires 'n stuff.

Are these ads "part of" Windows 10 or are they ads you're seeing in your browser?

If the latter, get an ad blocker (like uBlock Origin).

(If the former, use an OS that doesn't pull such tricks.)

Maybe this link can help: https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/mobile-ads-faqs/

Scroll down to "Relevant Mobile Advertising FAQ".

If my ISP injected ads, it would be time for me to move on.

Or, less drastically, to get an ad blocker, and alter my cookie control settings. Or switch browsers.

And certainly use CCleaner, Malwarebytes, or similar programs to clean up what sounds like a Verizon and Friends infestation.

Jim.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to this problem.
My Printer took a dump. and I'm having problems getting my printer to work right.

My original web browser was Edge I switched to a different web browser (Firefox) and the ads have been greatly reduced.
I can live with Firefox.

Thank you all
