"MX 1000"

Have any users of the Logitech MX 1000 found
a good replacement?
Mine is over 13 years old.

Can't recall the model of my old Logitech, but have been using a Logitech M510 for several years. No problems, use rechargeable in it. Batteries last a long time.

Mine died years ago. This might be a good replacement (https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Anywhere-Wireless-Mobile-Mouse/dp/B00Y09IWGQ/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1534171207&sr=8-4&keywords=logitech+anywhere+mx+2). I have gravitated to smaller lighter mice over the years. There is an updated model (https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Anywhere-Wireless-Cross-Computer-Control/dp/B071VK5KXN/ref=dp_ob_title_ce?dpID=31ryRgpss3L&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=detail)Apparently it is USB rechargeable.

Good find. Either the older or newer model should be more than adequate IF he can adapt to the smaller size - it is a mobile mouse.

One reviewer, a woman, said it is just the right size for her smaller hand.

And, it's interesting that the newer model is cheaper than the older model - $7.71 less.

Jim.

Good point.

On a lark, I end up with a Rosewill M55.

When I got it, I was so surprised, that it was physically large, that it actually fit my hand well. (And worked decently too.)

(Just mentioning because of the size. Not appropriate for the OP, it's wired. And I don't put credence into "gaming" either. To me, it's a mouse. Large in size. Happens to actually work well, for me.)

I'm 70 and adapted. The MX 1000 was a great mouse but it was heavy and quite large. I find it a lot easier to use a smaller mouse these days. I got a Razor Deathadder Elite gaming mouse because I was wearing out so many smaller wireless mice gaming, but the Deathadder is slim and feels more like a mobile mouse to me.

I think the cancer warning is California. I don't suppose anyone in the rest of the Country would eat their mouse.

I replaced mine with a Logitech Performance Mouse MX. Very similar later model.
Drawback: It loses charge pretty quickly, but can be used as a corded mouse while recharging.

I'm happy with it.

That reminds me of my old beloved MX 1000 or what I remember of it. There is an upgraded model of your mouse as well (https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wireless-Cross-Computer-Control-Graphite/dp/B071YZJ1G1/ref=dp_ob_title_ce?dpID=41bay9I1IEL&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=detail). It is right big in the scheme of things that I have gotten used too lately.

In fact I no longer have the Performance Mouse MX. Can't remember why I got rid of it, but I now have an MX Master (not the 2S model in GreyFalcon's post). I'm still happy with it.

I purchased the Logitec Performance Mouse MX, too, from a very
well known supplier. Today I shipped it back.
The "Zoom" button would not accept re-assignment.
The "Application" button wouldn't work at all.
And probably worst of all, the 3 pads on the underside
of the mouse showed quit a bit of scratches from what I
think was previous usage. So, now I'm expecting a refund.
