"Logitech installer"

OS=Windows 10 Pro
All updates Installed.
Keyboard and Mouse work ok. Without Logitech drivers (Device Manager.)

My problem is I'm unable to install the latest update for my Logitech Keyboard and Mouse.

The update I'm trying to install is:
Setpoint6.67.83_64.exe

When I go to run the program nothing happens.

Notes:
When I go to the control panel uninstaller, their are no Logitech programs installed.

I have gone to Logitech support and asked about my problem and as of yet I have not got a reply.

I have downloaded the Microsoft Media Creation Tool. Installed Windows 10 Pro over my old Windows 10 Pro. I'm still unable to install the program.

Not an answer to your problem but W10's native drivers now cover up to five buttons (my MX Master has six).

Specifically, what mouse do you have?

And are you using the smart installer or the full installer? The smart installer requires internet access during the installation.

Some reading:- https://www.logitech.com/en-au/articles/11650

NB. That's not the current SetPoint version, which is 6.68.250_64.

NB2. Some newer Logitech mice don't use SetPoint. They require the Logitech Options app - current version 6.92.275. My MX Master is one such.

The only other solution I could think of would be to remove everything Logitech from the registry. I just downloaded a little app called RegScanner (downloaded the 64 bit zip and extracted it to a folder on my desktop). It runs from the RegScanner.exe. I typed in Logitech and it came up with about 950 registry entries. I remembered I had installed a Logitech game controller on my computer at one time. I suppose it would be safe to remove those entries because it is not part of Windows. You would also want to remove the hidden ProgramData file for Logitech on your C: drive and any program file entries and hidden AppData entries under your profile. For the AppData and ProgramData I have had to use the take ownership program to get permissions to remove it. HOW SAFE IS THIS? Maybe that would be a good topic for discussion. I would certainly make an image of your hard drive and be ready to use it just in case. Have I done this, YES but only in extreme circumstances for repair where a program reinstall is critical. A restart would be necessary afterwords before attempting a reinstall of the program. Your symptoms indicate registry corruption for that program.
