"ok, Ill try to explain this.... Lcd screen issue"

I am trying to replace LED screen on an Acer one 14" for a friend. I have replaced several in the last month for people with any issue at all.
So i ordered a new screen. Her husband stepped on her pc, thus screen was messed up.
First one i bought, turned on, looked good, gently replaced cover, and screws. By the time I finished the easy process, it was all messed up and obviously damaged! They immediately replaced it . Got new one today. I was almost afraid to even touch it. Made my husband sit and watch me. Took pics all the way! lol. Put it in, turned it on. all clear but you could SEE thru the screen to a part number on the right corner of screen. But otherwise ok. I gently continued with the cover, gently . As I Put in the FIRST screw- the whole right sied where I was putting screw in, started with small lines about .5 in, then spread further- totally useless! Went no further. My impression? JUST crap from EBAY. But is there anything else that could have been damaged in the first place????? I do not want to get another one from them, but If something else might be wrong, I wont go any further at all.
Thanks

When you searched on eBay, did you search for something like "Acer (laptop model number) screen" or did you just search for the part number from the back of the original LCD panel? You should just be searching for the part number of the panel, this should give you more choices.

Also, is there any chance that the other parts of the laptop are bent or warped which might have caused the second screen to crack?

Behind every good computer... is a jumble of wires 'n stuff.

That is what I am thinking. It is for a friend and her husband stepped on it. I used a scanner to get the exact numbers of the laptop and made sure I got an exact replacement by number.

I returned, had to open ebay case, refunded and gave Pc back to owner. Not putting time into it if damaged otherwise.
