"Laptop screen won't turn off when usb mouse plugged in"
My laptop is a Toshiba S75Dt-A7330. When any USB mouse is plugged in the screen won't turn off after the requested time. When the mouse is unplugged the screen turns off and when the mouse is then plugged in the screen automatically turns on. Is the problem fixable so that I don't have to unplug the mouse when I'm finished with the computer for a period of time?

What operating system? If it's 10 try
Start > Settings > Power & Sleep > Additional Power Settings > Change Plan Settings > Change Advanced Power Settings > USB Settings > USB Selective Suspend Setting > Set to Disabled
This doesn't work for everyone and it seems that it's various issues for different setups.

Have you tried wireless, I'm wondering if a USB dongle will trigger the same behavior with a mouse you can turn off. You might want to check your manufacturers site for bios updates. They also correct a lot of problems so you should keep it up to date.
