I have been using SIW for years and frequently refer to it's password listing. I just tried it and found that the list is almost completely depleted, another instance of CCleaner's overzealous activity. Any idea as to how I can recover the password listing in SIW? I'm getting close to uninstalling the new CCleaner and/or restoring an older image of my system sans the newer CCleaner.
I don't have SIW so I don't know if it's one of the Applications CCleaner cleans. In Ccleaner, click the Applications tab, near top left next to Windows. Scroll down to see if SIW is among the listed Applications. If so, uncheck any/all the boxes you don't want cleaned by CCleaner in the SIW listing.
If SIW isn't listed, it may be something else cleaning out your password list - such as WiseCare Pro, for example.
Do you routinely save your Registry cleanup items in CCleaner? If so, Right-click on the saved .REG file/s that was/were most recently created and select "Merge. Maybe the SIW passwords were stored in the Registry and are recoverable - if you're very lucky.
I have SIW, but do not have CC. The password list in SIW is much shorter than it used to be, as in next to nothing. Noticed this at least a couple of years ago. Since SIW password list isn't something I check on a regular basis, I have no idea when or what deleted the password list. SIWs Eureka password feature no longer works either.
That being said, are you aware that Fire Fox keeps a password list?

He probably is as FireFox's password list is cleared by CCleaner - if its box is check marked. Marking the box pops up a CCleaner warning when selected for the first time so he may not have kept it checked.
CCleaner also has the same warning for IE, Opera, and Chrome - when Saved Passwords are marked for the first time. Or, subsequently, if the Passwords boxes are unchecked.
