"How To Recover The Default Windows Explorer In Win 10"

I Was reclaiming space on my Win 10 system which do from time to time and never do i have any problems. On this occasion, however, I discovered that my explorer had all but disappeared, making it very difficult to navigate. I created a work round by creating a folder called "My This PC"and copying destination folders to it. It works after a fashion but it will be good to recover the original installation.

I have attached two images one illustrates what is essentially an ordinary folder and the the other shows what is like when opened.

I will appreciate it if someone will show me how to restore the original installation

You need to edit your attachments' extensions, They're jpg's not txt extensions.

Jim.

Edit: OK, I did it for you.

Edit 2: The 2nd attachment below looks like my explorer (if I grouped them). What are you missing/not seeing?

Thank you KJT, I never noticed the suffix error at the time.

Actually when I compare it to my 2nd PC there is not a great deal of difference except for the fact that it has details down the side, in fact when I fiddle with the display I get all sorts of options and I can get it to nearly the same as my 2nd PC. I'll leave it for now but perhaps you could suggest how to get rid of the title "Easy Photo Print" although I think I'm stuck with that.

Thanks for your question it certainly pointed me in another direction to the point where apart from the title the explorer does not have a "Search this PC"function. I'll soldier on...

Regards

"Easy Photo Print" isn't a title, it's a toolbar installed with an Epson printer. If you want to get rid of it just uninstall Epson Easy Photo Print.

Behind every good computer... is a jumble of wires 'n stuff.
