"Windows updates"
Fri Jan-31-20 09:53 PM by bobbo

There were a couple of optional Windows updates, i.e. KB543295 and KB5434132. After installing, my internet connection was extremely slow to respond. I finally uninstalled KB543295, and online active returned to normal. I left KB5434132 installed. and so far, on line activity is OK. I need to go back and see what each update does.
I find that KB5434132 is a .NET framework update.

If I remember correctly, you have Win 10 - don't know which version.

I have Win10 Pro and haven't gotten either of the two KB Updates that you list. I'll keep an eye out for them.

But it seems like you fixed the problem. So is there another issue?

Jim.

I'm running Windows 10 Pro 64. The solution I listed was an edit, i.e. uninstalling KB543295. I will be more selective in installing optional updates in the future.

No other issues. Thanks for the response.

Those updates took hours when Windows will normally misbehave as usual during updates. I ran a speed test before and after on Ookla before and after. Before: 10ms download 92.85Mbps upload 120.24 After: 8ms down 92.35 up 120.23. Slower but well within the normal spread doing back to back speed tests and not even noticeable. You might want to look at other reasons within your computer other than updates. Win 10 1909 OS Build 18363.628.
