"Dialup annoyance in XP"

Quick question for you XP gurus; how do I write mail offline without Outlook wanting to constantly dial my ISP? Tried every setting I know but still no joy. Can't seem to find the "never dial a connection" as in 98se. Thanks.

Right Click on your email icon and select "Internet Options" then click on the connections tab. then click in the cirle that says "Never dial a Connection"

Also, next time you open outlook click on File and put a checkmark next to "Work Offline" This will keep you offline till you uncheck it.

From Outlook Express Options, check the General tab and see if Automatically log on to Windows Messenger is checked. That might cause it to dial up even if Never dial a connection is checked in the Connections tab.
