Is it Normal, for a monitor to burn-up, in four years time

It is never "normal" for anything to burn up in any amount of time. It is however common for any device to fail eventually, they are only made by humans.

It is, unfortunately, common for users to run monitors beyond their resolution and refresh specifications. and destroy their monitors in the process.
