"No Modem Log"


          

Hi, I have a Rockwell hcf-pci modem,windows 98 first edition,256mgs of ram.About a week ago my modem stopped generating a log.I also have aol 7.0.Any ideas on how I can fix it?

Control Panel > Modems > Properties Button > Connection Tab > Advanced Button > Select Append to Log

I tried checking append to log. It didn't work.

You are looking for c:\windows\Modemlog.txt?

Yes.In windows 98 the modem name is listed-rockwell hcf 56k data fax pci modem .log.When I click show log a blank notepad pops up.A search for modemlog.txt doesn't show anything.

You are getting any error messages when you use the modem?

I'm not getting any error messages,in fact with the exception of no log it's working great.The knowledge base article you linked me to has some good tips.I'll try a few things.Thanks for your help.Aol 7.0 may have screwed something up.
