"? About Norton Antivirus Subscription Service/ dilemma"

I’m always messing up my PC so I format frequently maybe once a month, I notice that every time I install Norton the service always resets to a new year even if I uninstall and reinstall Norton with that said is it wrong to do this if your service is almost up.

If it isn’t wrong, why pay for another year of virus updates when you don’t have to?

I will always format and reinstall, I will always need an antivirus so I will always have a year of service...Free.

I think this is one of those situations where if you have to ask, you already know the answer. Pay the fee. It's not that much. It helps ensure continued state-of-the-art anti-virus protection. It's the right thing to do. Simple as that.

It is called theft of services, so is being a thief wrong?

if you forget that you realized that the subscription restarts from zero everytime you reformat is not theft }>

I wish that I could get my NAV 2001, to reset to zero.

I'd gladly pay to restore its Live Udate feature.

As it is, it's just a plastic piece of history

Doing the right thing is what is important. Once a year you owe a fee unless you buy a newer version. Most of us would teach our kids to be honest and not bend the truth. We then, should set an example. Nothing wrong with reinstalling as long as it isn't done to avoid the fee.
