Actually, I come in peace. I don't harbor any ill will towards HAL, ( or anyone else for that matter) although we ruffled eachother's feathers a while back. I think that fanning the flames of contempt aren't really healthy for anyone. BTW, I thought maybe this was a celebrity "ROAST" of some sort, when I first saw this thread. I am not always on the opposite side of the fence on all subjects or topics, although I probably don't mention so. I'm still trying to figure him out though. I remember a quote on my screensaver I saw a while back, that said something like; "If you should meet a man of contrary nature, you should reflect inward." I can't recall who said it,(Mark Twain?) but I thought it probably fits pretty well. The past is the past, so we move on. Like Paulie says, "I don't sweat you." }> BTW, let me know if I'm sounding like a quote junkie, because I hate that, & I like my own originality. I have this damn Quotes screensaver (free one) that has over 5,000 quotes in it, and I sometimes just sit and watch it for gobs more time than I should. Kind of addicted to it.
I don't know why, but I kind of enjoy learning about the people that are on this forum. I've learned a lot more about Waldo in recent days than I had ever known before, that he has more depth than he lets on in his wise-cracks, which usually crack my ass up pretty well. I might have this wrong, but I think HAL sometimes likes to observe human behavior, and what better way to do that than to pose an opposite, (albeit sometimes radical) idea to other's reasoning. Enjoys being somewhat of an enigma. He was probably the kid that liked to put the unwrapped Baby Ruth bar in the swimming pool to see how many kids would jump out! }> As for DM... what can I say? He likes Erasure... Weren't they popular during the 80's? You aren't a WHAM fan, are you DM? }> Just kidding! Besides, I can't talk, I liked Boston.
Probably too much is taken too seriously on this forum, especially on relatively petty or pointless stuff. Some of the discussions get pretty hot, although, I'm not saying it isn't entertaining at that.
Take care all!
