We sell these at Orchard...believe me, you have nothing to worry about with this device......No innocent pests were damaged in this test. Let me offer a battery operated "thumper" you shove into the ground to keep gophers away.....they don't work either......
I'm assuming your referring to Shelly's statement about it affecting people. The SPL is irrelevant if the tone is ultrasonic. You could have a 180 dB SPL device broadcasting at ultrasonic frequencies, and you wouldn't even know the difference.
160 dB SPL in a car, now thats a different story. Pure ecstasy.
Do those devices really work? I'm always catching spiders in my "bug jar" and putting them outside. I may be compassionate but I can't stand the creepy things!
>Thanks all. It wasn't my idea to get one. I'll just keep it >going since it does no harm to me.
Now if you want to have some fun, just put it on top of some white paper. Turn it on and use a magnifying glass and look real close. Those sounds are music to their ears, and if you get down close you can see them dancing a jig. }>
the one "as seen on TV" that Target sells for 30 bucks. It uses the electric wiring system to do whatever it has to do (an electronic signal that disturbs the brain of insects, arthropods, and small mammals like hamsters, according to the brochure). Roaches are gone after 2 weeks. Our pets are chihuahuas and seem unnafected (I will let you know if they attack us in our sleep).
