"Hello"

I'm a new member trying to get a handle on this forum. Been reading about uploading and am wondering whether I got my Avatar right.

Use the path http://www.pcqanda.com/dcforum/User_files/ infront of your file identification and it will work.

Welcome to PCQ&A.

Clear your avatar address box completely, then type the following exactly:

http://www.pcqanda.com/dcforum/User_files/ (Note the underscore _ between User and files)

and place your file ID:

3daa15f1752f71e4.jpg

Immediately after the forward slash (/) after the word files/

and you will get this, sized as an avatar:

Now all I have to do is figure out how to make one of those fancy moving signatures. Shouldn't take me more than a week or so.

labyrinth - your avatar looks like a fractal. is it? I found those things on the web a few months ago and spent HOURS looking at them.

Good eyes Freespirit! Ran into them a couple of weeks ago myself and started to look into them. Found a generating program for forty bucks and started to make my own. I got into them from a book I read, Stephen Wolfram 'A New Kind of Science'

If the sig you create is anything like your avatar it will be awesome.

Fractals are so addictive! When I discovered them, I would stay up until 2 a.m. bouncing from site to site through the web ring. I leave for work at 6:30 a.m. and I still couldn't get away from them! In no time, I used up all of the ink in the printer making copies. Showed them to friends and they were blown away. For anybody reading this who is unaware, here's a link:
