An interesting interview with Uri Avnery whose views on the recent nonsense being thrown around in this part of the world about anyone (U.S. or Israel) attacking Iran may be of interest to people who have thought about this possibility, but don't really know how the situation stands re Iran and Israel.
I've been thinking Israel and Iran are mutually useful to the political establishments in both countries. (serveing as boogymen to each other) I guess Iran has been supporting the palestinians in Israel as an indirect means of attacking. So that leaves Israel with the UN and sanctions as a means to retaliate. Any direct assault would be unsustainable. I didn't think Irans' nuclear program was a big deal until the recent Fukashima disaster in Japan. I used to think what happens when the oil runs out, why shouldn't they build whatever they want? Irans' nuclear program has always been a high risk political chip, a high value target and Israel has attacked that type of thing before, so I wouldn't be too surprised if there is some kind of air raid.
