Is posting political stuff off limits now? I haven't seen anything posted in the off topics section for quite awhile.I just watched a really funny video on facebook posted by the Netherlands, but if it's going to create too much strife, I won't post it.

Post it. Nothing political has been banned that I am aware of and no one has been banned recently except an alt-right troll and a non-political spammer.
Political and other topics come and go - lots of posts and then very few.
Plus it's "Annual PCQandA Fundraiser" time. For some unknown reason, posts fall off greatly until the goal is met.
Just to reiterate what KJT said: Nothing political is banned. Obviously, certain behavior standards are still expected, but that applies whether the discussion is political or not. Posting a video from Facebook is perfectly fine.
Part of the reason may be that the political climate is somewhat surreal. It is hard to rationalize the behavior and policies coming out of the Whitehouse as sane.
GOP leaders: Bill to build wall will cost up to $15 billion
PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Congress will move legislation this year providing up to $15 billion to build a wall along the Mexican boundary, Republican leaders said Thursday.
But they would not say how they would prevent the massive project from adding to federal deficits. House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., told reporters at a GOP strategy retreat that they were planning legislation providing $12 billion to $15 billion for constructing the wall, one of President Donald Trump's chief goals.
Ryan said the goal is to complete that and other major bills in 2017, but the leaders offered no details on how the wall would be paid for, saying they would wait until the Trump administration proposes legislation.
James, that's the one, thank you. I thought it was hilarious. It's good to have some levity once in awhile, with all the stuff that's coming out of the White House now.
I've read Trump mentioned a 20% tariff to pay for it.Stealing remittances sent home from the US to Mexico.(yup I said steal). Those are a couple of the recent ones.I'm boggled how you guys thought this was a good idea.
Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face! A substantial proportion of goods imported from Mexico are made from raw materials from the USA. This hare-brained proposal would directly result in export and job losses in the USA.

Don't forget food crops. Who will be willing to do the back breaking harvesting of the crops? I am totally disgusted with this self centered idiot.
If we should happen to live long enough, someday we will hear someone say, à la Ronald Reagan, "Tear down this wall, Mr. President".
In the meantime, we, with the financial means to do so have a great investment opportunity. We should buy stock in ladder building companies, tunnel boring companies, boat building companies, hot air balloon companies etc. And, don't forget to look into fence building companies too.
You might take a beating with those investments since an estimated 40% to 50% of undocumented immigrants come in via air. They simply overstay their visas. The idiotic wall is just raw meat for Mad Donald's Kool-Aiders. And they and the rest of you guys will be paying for it at the Walmart checkout counter.
