Quote:
Manchester United football legend Dwight Yorke has described being made to "feel like a criminal" after being barred from entering America.

Yorke was about to board a flight yesterday when he was told a red flag had come against his name because of an Iranian stamp in his passport.

The 1999 treble winner had once taken part in a World Stars XI charity game in Tehran in a legends team.

That adds a world-famous international footballer citizen of Trinidad and Tobago to the British war hero previously (albeit temporarily) barred from entry. Next may well be Mo Farah, double double Olympic champion, double world champion, undoubtedly after Usain Bolt the world's finest athlete. A British citizen legally resident in the USA since 2014, he has the double misfortune of being out of the USA when Trump's dummy spit was announced and being a Somalian-born Muslim.
