Blue Origin, the private spaceflight company helmed by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, is reportedly floating plans for its spacecraft to send supplies to a permanent lunar colony.

The Washington Post, which is also owned by Bezos, reported that the proposal was circulated among both NASA officials and members of President Trump's transition team.

The company suggested that the same technology used by its New Shepard rocket could be able to deliver living quarters, cargo and scientific equipment to a crater at the moon's south pole by the middle of the next decade.

I know I'm glad that I was around for what's happened in space exploration so far, but it sure would be nice to be around and see how it plays out in the future.

There are a lot of smart young people in the world today and I hope the funding is available for those interested in space exploration to use the stepping stones from the past to actually go for the stars

I still find it amazing that men have gone to the moon with less computer power than what's in an automobile these days. That says a lot about all the great engineers, yourself included, who made it happen.
