A well written article, but the facts are that the semi-educated rabble making all the noise are the reason we have a known thief and philanderer, in the White h\House.

You speak the truth, Shelly.

I see this whole flap about professional sports players standing or kneeling is a red herring to distract us from the more important problems of governmental issues. I respect our flag and national anthem, but let's get back to national business!

There are certain times, during certain prayers the we (Jews) are supposed to bow down (to G-d).

Instead, I stand up (straighter).

There are times in a Christian (Catholic, maybe more?) Church, that the congregation kneels down.

I, not being Catholic, simply remain seated as I was, not kneeling.
I can't imagine that anyone there even gives it a second thought.

No disrespect to either religion, but that's just the way I am, the way I look at it.

I fail to see what Jesus or idols or religion has to do with whether a person does or doesn't do a particular action in a particular situation.

There are "expected" norms of behavior that one "follows" at certain times, like standing for the National Anthem, but if one chooses to do or to not do so, hardly makes one idolator.
