Who needs to go to Mars when you can board a spaceship to Earth? Serial disrupter Elon Musk is planning to build a new rocket, code-named BFR, capable of traveling anywhere on the planet in under an hour. A hypersonic trip from New York to Shanghai would take 39 minutes, down from the current nonstop time of about 15 hours. Sign us up!

Not that I could ever afford such a journey, but it seems likely to me that the negative acceleration would kill me - if the positive acceleration hadn't already done so. I'm pretty sure I don't want to go to Shanghai that badly.
If the math is correct, the speed required would be an average of 11, 329 MPH to cover the 7,364 miles between NYC and Shanghai (as indicated by Google) in 39 minutes. Actual maximum speed would have to be considerably higher to achieve that average.

Right now I have less lofty goals, like the city picking up the dead limbs still killing the grass on my front lawn from hurricane Irma nearly a month ago. My neighbor across the street who is a State Trooper told me r this morning that he heard they will begin picking it up this week. I hope he is right!

Elon Musk has a brilliant idea, how I wish that it will come true
