Youngest looking "retiree" I've ever seen.

What's he plan to do with the rest of his life?

Jim.

He already has a job lined up, working for a company that is doing the things he used do on the ship but does it in civilian jobs now. He starts on May 29th so he has a few days to spend with his family. My son went in the Navy at age 17, his dad signed for him to go. He will turn 38 in August of this year.
